Today me and Dad left to go to Grandma's house. It was so awful getting there! First, it rained. Then, there was all this construction junk going on, so we were late getting there. Well, that was the highlight of the day folks because the rest was boring. Except that Kelsey's party is tonight and I can't make it because I am here! Oh well. I also tried to call them but no one answered the phone - bah! 9:58 P.S. Everyone who I said was fine - IS! Except for Sam - he's super-duper fine!

Thursday, August 29, 1985 (age 13)
Today Sam wasn't at band! Oh well, I saw him yesterday. Anyway, band was dull as ever so I won't tell you about it. Kelsey and Nadine came over today and then Neil and Victor. Victor is so friggin' fine! He got a haircut and he looks so cute - me and Kelsey were practically on the floor! I told everyone I didn't like Sam anymore and Kelsey didn't believe me. But I still do! I just want someone to tell him that I don't so that we can become friends. But believe me, I do! P.S. Victor North is so fine! 11:26

Wednesday, August 28, 1985 (age 13)
Today we had band practice again and guess who was there! Sam! We didn't do much at practice but right when we were leaving Billy Natts and Mr. Futsch taught a couple of us how to play the trumpet. I'm getting there! Then Kelsey invited me over and then Keith and Seth. Sam couldn't come because he had to mow the lawn. When I got home I went to the center of town and found out that earlier, Lacey had been with Sam for 2 hours at the center! Boy am I mad! 9:12 P.S. I still <3 Sam no matter what!

Today was SO wicked fun! First off, Sam and Bonnie aren't going out anymore! But, I didn't see him at band practice. Then, Lacey invited me and Wendy to sleep over. I didn't want to at first, but Lacey called Sam and talked to him while I listened on the other phone. Then while we were at Lacey's, he called back and I actually talked to him! Oh my god can you believe it? I was SO wicked siked! Oh my god, well, time to sign off now 8:09 P.S. Keith Dacosta is so cute!

Monday, August 26, 1985 (age 13)
Today it rained again. It stopped for a while, so Lacey, Nadine and me went to the center of town. We met Wendy there. First, we went to the candy store where I got a cute little stuffed animal (horse) and then we went to the diner. While we were there, it began to rain. So we ran back and into Weathervane where Lacey got an outfit for school, Nadine got some pants and a shirt, I got a pair of socks, and Wendy didn't get anything. And that is about all! 9:42 P.S. Lacey likes this kid Ian Quick. Oh he's so fine!

Today it rained. Dad, me, and Mom went to all these stores though. First we went to J.C. Penney's and then to G. Fox. Then we went to Levitz, Channel (where Dad bought Becky a mirror and a lock for me), and Zayre. Then we went out to eat at Pizza Hut. Then we went to Medi-Mart (oh, at G. Fox Mom and me each got a nightgown), at Medi-Mart I got a bag for school, Noxema skin cream, Ten-O-Six cleansing lotion and Perma-soft hairspray, sike huh? 11:01 P.S. I like Harold Ivanhoe now!

Saturday, August 24, 1985 (age 13)
Today we woke up pretty late. Then, while Nadine was taking a shower, Aunt Bea and three nuns came over. They had lunch and then took Becky down to Grandma's house with them. I have a whole week off from babysitting! After dinner I went next door and was with Lacey. When I got home I watched this movie called "Phar Lap". It was so sad! I have never cried watching a movie, but I was crying like anything at the end! 10:55 P.S. Galvin Elkhart is really cute!
