Today I went to see Sabrina. On my way there, I saw Evan Grant. So I said hi and when I was coming back, he stopped me and we talked for a minute. Then I went to the center of town with Lacey. We saw him there and we talked for a couple of minutes. Lacey said I should like him because he talks to me at least, more than Sam. I don't really know. 10:30

Today was Good Friday so we didn't have any school. It was also boring as hell, because Mom and Dad went to work, leaving me to babysit Becky for the whole day. Miami Vice wasn't on today, because of a movie (bummer!), so we watched National Lampoons Vacation. Fun, huh? Yeah, well, so was today. 11:03

Today was OK, except for the fact that I had a quiz in History, a test in Algebra, a quiz in English, and a test in French. Fortunately there was no quiz in I.P.S. but I'm failing that class anyway! In the library we (Lacey, Me) were talking to Fabian Abbatiello. He was making us laugh so much, Mrs. Cabanela almost had to split us up. Then Dahlia, Lacey and me went to see this movie April Fools Day. It was OK, anything but scary. Dahlia and Lacey were the only two in the theater that were screaming! Today was OK. Boring, but OK. After school I went to Kelsey's house and we were supposed to go to the center of town but Kelsey's mom didn't get home until 3:30. I wanted to meet Dahlia at the center at 2:30 so I told her to call me at Kelsey's house. Kelsey took the phone off the hook and stuck the receiver in a pillowcase (HMM!). We also had a concert today (yeah-rah) and ohmigod the audience actually LIKED Spectrum! I was in total shock as you might know because it is a terribly horrid song. Well, gotta go! 10:06

Today was boring. 1st period to 4th period was boring, and 5th period to 8th period was none too better. After school was OK. Nadine and Kelsey came over for a while and then I made dinner and I went to the rehearsal for Pippin. It was boring. I am in Ensemble and we dance and sing. What we did was have the people who actually talk read off their parts. Thrill, eh? Ya know it! Well, gots to chill, tah! 9:42

Today was OK. BUT in band, I was walking behind Sam, and he couldn't get down the stairs because Jonah was blocking the end. So when he turned around to go around the stairs, he said "Hi Daphne." I was so shocked, all I could say was "hi". God, I <3 the way he says my name! I'm serious! We also had a night rehearsal, and Billy poked me in the butt with a trumpet stand. BUT, other than that, today was OK. 10:06

Today was OK. Me and Lacey went to the next town over to spend the day. I bought a tie, hairspray and Vaseline. Then, we went home. After dinner, I went next door for a while. We browsed through some magazines and had a few good laughs. Then I saw the Miami Vice movie on TV. Really cool! 10:57

Today was pretty fun. Me and Kelsey went to a car wash for a couple of hours for the high school. I got tremendously cold, so me and Laura Hable got the pleasure of sticking flyers into peoples windshields. After that, me, mom and Becky went to the mall to shop. I got this cool shirt. Becky walked out with more than I did and I was upset. :)

Today was OK. I was in kind of a spazzy mood (I don't know why). And I had this big giant green bracelet on that everybody loved. In I.P.S. Vance came up to me and mussed up the back of my head and when I said "Why do you do that all the time?" He leaned over and whispered (It was quite loud) "Because I love you". I was like RIGHT! But I didn't say anything. And I guess that was all except I saw Miami Vice! 11:11

Today was nothing special. Kendra Yaeger, Callie, and Maeve said to me today that Sam is giving up on girls and that he doesn't like them anymore. I was like "what!" But then I didn't say anything. Then we (the Girl Scouts) went on this yay-rah tour of Mt. Sinai Hospital. FUN. When I got home I changed my room around. Today is the first day of spring ya know. 9:34

HI! TODAY WAS LIKE TOTALLY AWESOME! Well, school was dull like always (you know that), except that we had this assembly where this quintet taught us about instruments. (that made it even more dull). Today is St. Patrick's Day (definite wow right!). Today went by so fast I barely remember it! (Not that there's anything worth remembering). Butstill. I hung up some pictures of Bermuda because on Sunday they had a feature on it, so I clipped it out. And now it is hanging on my wall. Neat, huh? Today was dull. I didn't do anything. Mom said I was grounded for today if I didn't get The Breakfast Club back, so I finally got it back from Kelsey. Then I was randomly at my house and next door at Lacey's. Total bore today. God I hate Sundays. I think the most exciting thing I did today was to call a radio station and request a song. Today was kinda fun. First, I went to music lessons and then I went to mom's work. I left there and went to Something Special and put a few things on hold. Then I went to Dress Barn and got my Easter outfit. It's a very colorful skirt with a matching shirt and a pink shirt to go under that. I also bought some film for my camera at Caldor and I went into Casual Male. Oh no those clothes were SO cool! You know if I only had some money! 10:26

Today was OK. I'm getting better at ignoring guys but I think that Sam thinks that if girls ignore him - they've lost interest! GOD, there's got to be SOME way! Lacey wasn't in school today. Poor sicky poo. But Nadine and her came over today after school. Speaking of Nadine, she and David did meet after school and Dahlia said that he went down her pants but all she did was kiss him. Today was so depressing. Nadine was in our lunch wave today and (I don't know how she found out) but she started yelling "Vance goosed Daphne!" and wouldn't stop. So I began to ignore her and finally she apologized (after everyone found out). Then Lacey went home sick and I went to this audition for the play "Pippin". I know I didn't make it - I was so horrible - because you see, it is a musical and I CAN NOT sing! 9:44

Today in band, I tried what dad said about ignoring guys to get their attention. So I tried it on Sam and I was so siked because I did it so well, Kelsey was all like "Well, what did he say to you?" And I felt crushed because then I realized that he didn't even care. Damn. Then in the library,  Dexter was all trying to get Lacey's attention by saying how he wants her body and Vance went and winked at me while asking for a pen. Talk about massive weirdness to-day! 9:28

Sam has been very indifferent to me lately. Dad says that the thing that gets male ego going is if a girl ignores all the guys. Speaking of male ego, today in Science Vance definitely had his going because when I walked by him, he sort of grabbed at my butt. And when I turned around and hit his arm (I kinda missed), Sabrina goes "Ohmigod Vance!". And then he had water all over his hands and he goes "Can I wipe my hands all over your body?" I was like "NO! Go away." But I don't know man! 10:05

Today was mom's birthday. During school, not much happened. After school though, I had a detention for writing out note cards for 96 WTIC FM's contest during Algebra. So the teacher waits until my bus is good and gone and says "OK Daphne you can go." I was so pissed! And I was not about to wait an hour for the late bus, so I began to walk home (ed. note: My house was 2 1/2 miles from the school) . Just my luck, when I wasn't more than 100 feet from the beginning of (the longest road) when Mr. Burns pulls up and asks if I need a ride! 10:17

Today we went to (yay-rah) church. After that, we went to CVS and I got some lip gloss. Then I went to Lacey and Nadine's house and we colored in her coloring book. :) Then Lacey went babysitting and we decided to go with her. We (Nadine and me) went to the center of town and we got food because those people had absolutely nothing. Their house was so god-awful. What a mess! Then after that I went next door again and we did some more coloring. :) And that was all! 9:47

Today I went to the center of town with Nadine. I got a lock, a card, hair gel, peanut brittle, Dynamints and erasers. Then, mom and dad went out to dinner. Neil and Nadine were getting these calls from some assholes saying that they were going to kill them. So they got scared and came over. We watched this movie "Creator" and then "Starman". Pretty awesome. Well, better go. 12:09

Today was OK. In band, I was talking to Marvin Spelling when all of a sudden Sam put his hand on the top of my head and whirled it around to face him. He looked me right in the eye and then said "Nope, no star." because Kelsey had a little gold star on her cheek and I was like OK! Something's happening! When at the dance (the Snow Ball) every slow dance he was with the first flutist Kelly! And Dahlia was with Steve, Kelsey with Nate, Lacey with Eddie and Nadine with David. Oh well! 12:10

Today was dull. Nothing really happened except that we had an assembly in school about Black History. Kinda funny. Then, just now Nadine and Lacey were here and they just kept taking my clothes! I hate when they do that, but they said "Daphne, that's why you are supposed to borrow our clothes". I was like "I can't! My mom won't let me!" And that's the gods-honest truth. Today must have been the worst day in my entire life. I wanted to make french fries, right? So I put oil on the burner and everything was going fine until the oil caught on fire. Becky began to scream - and I began to panic. Without thinking I threw the oil into the sink and turned the water on. VROOM! This gigantic column of fire arose out of the sink scorching everything - including the ceiling. The rest I won't go into because I am still shaking. 9:46

Today nothing happened in school except that Sabrina was being a real bitch - everyone noticed it and everyone wanted to just push her off the edge of the world. Today I said hi to Sam in the hall but he didn't say anything back. He was just staring at Nadine's new perm. Oh well. Then I stayed after school. I played softball with Lacey and Nadine for a while. Then me and Lacey left (Nadine wanted to keep on practicing) and we went to the center of town. I got a purse, Mom's present, paper and eye shadow. When we were going to the library these Puerto Rican boys were whistling at us and following us around. Total gross-out! 10:10

Today was so hectic I don't think I had time for free time! First, at 11:45 I had to go to an orthodontist appointment. Then at 1:30 I went to music lessons. After that we went to see our new Ford Taurus. Neat-o! After that, we went home and I watched Real Genius. That movie was SO funny! Then I saw about 3/4 of St. Elmo's Fire when I had to go babysitting. Then I spent the whole time there talking on the phone to Jim who is the disc jockey on Kiss FM! 11:55

Today in band, we played this really cool piece called "Spectrum". Totally coolio! And after school I watched Romancing the Stone. That was a really good movie. Also, Miami Vice was on. Alas, it was a repeat. In the library yesterday, Sam WROTE SOMETHING DOWN ON LACEY'S DOUGHNUT BAG AND TODAY SHE WOULDN'T TELL ME WHAT IT WAS. Today I missed my bus. I was in my room putting stuff in my bag when I heard a noise. I looked out the window and almost missed seeing the bus pass by. I got to school by dad and that was about it until after school. I got to stay after school - NEAT, HUH! Nadine, Lacey and Kelsey came along with me and we saw Sam. Today in band, I was talking with Kelsey and Sam came over. He started talking (more to Kelsey - in fact, the whole conversation was between them) and I couldn't get a word in edgewise. She started telling him how cool his clothes were, his haircut, etc. and I was like Grrr! But I didn't say anything. Also, our phone broke. Whenever someone tries to call our house, they get 95.7's Nut Line! I was like Ho-No! And that's about it except I saw Miami Vice too! 11:09

Today I did go to school but it wasn't that exciting. After school though, we went to this yeah-rah dress rehearsal for band. Me and Maeve were talking about Sam. He really is depressed. He walks like the weight of the world is on his shoulders and when someone says hi or something to him he just looks up like he's been a million miles away and looks down again. I think that its getting worse. I'm really worried too. Maeve says we are both like that - but I don't think I am. 9:38

Today is Wednesday, but I didn't go to school. Why, you ask?! Because I didn't do my outline for History and dad said I could stay home just so that I did it all while I stayed here. And I did it you bet! But I was glad I didn't go because the Thespians had a field trip - and they all left with a lot of people out, Lacey and Sabrina said. And that was about it - oh, Sam was at school. I'm glad because I would have been terribly upset if he and I were home at the same time, ya know? 10:09

Today was pretty weird. It was really icy out this morning and school was an hour delayed. When we did go to school, all the class times were shortened. Then I got some blue junk on my white sweater and had to take it off. Then, after school, me, Lacey and Seth stayed (ed. note: later to do a project) for I.P.S. And after that, me, Lacey and Nadine had one helluva time crossing a flooded stream while it was raining to get to the library. I went babysitting and all I got was $6 and I didn't finish my homework. 11:06

Today I went to music lessons. When I came out, I found out that dad had left his keys in the car and we had to wait for the police to come and open it up. So while we were waiting, me and Becky went downstairs and putted around mom's store (ed. note: music lesson place was in the same complex as my mother's work). We went to the movie store later and I got the Miami Vice movie!!! Then after dinner we saw some dumb movie called Scared to Death. And that was all! 11:30

Well, the world didn't blow up today - but still! It should have! Anyway, not much happened except that we (me, Lacey and Nadine) went to the center of town.  When we were walking out of the pharmacy, we saw Sam walking with Barrett Ulbright! I was like Ho Shit and when Nadine said "Look who's coming Daphne", I froze in my tracks and my heart skipped a beat. Also, mom and dad read the two love stories I wrote and hounded me about them all night! 10:37

Today Sabrina, Nadine and Kelsey came over and we watched Mask and The Breakfast Club. Also, a boy called today but it wasn't anyone to get thrilled over. Today was very cool. We got out of school early at 12:00! Oh no, you know I was siked. But the most sike-ic thing of the day was that when Kelsey was carrying my clarinet for me, the tag fell off. I didn't know that Sam or the tag were behind us and when Sam said "is this yours" I was like "Yes!"

We didn't do much there either except when Neil beat up on Kacey Gabak. Now THAT was funny! I also drew up my Valentine's. I decided not to give Sam one, but to just wish him a happy one in person. Today me, Nadine, mom and Becky went to this Chocolate Expo. There was this really fine guy there, but I still thought he didn't hold a candle to Sam! Then, it was so funny, we were following these TV people around trying to get on TV, and they'd leave every time we'd catch up with them! I really sincerely doubt that we were on it (TV), and Nadine kept wanting to get Miss Connecticut's autograph. I was like OK! 9:44

Today it was Kendra Yaeger's birthday. So I was in charge of going around and telling everyone that we were going to sing Happy Birthday in the band storage room. Well, in band, Sam was sitting way over near the window where he usually sits and so I yelled "Sam - c'mere!" and I darted into the storage room. I didn't think he'd come, but he did! Except when I told him that we were singing for Kendra Yaeger. He turned around and said "nah" and walked back to his seat! 11:17

Today was pretty cool. In band Sam said "Daphne, let me see your haircut", but I didn't hear him so I was like "What?" and he just kept staring at me and didn't answer. So I said "What did he say?" and Kelsey said he wants to see your haircut. And I was like Oh! But Sam never said if he liked it or not. Then we had this assembly about Fight Choreography. Today after school me and Sabrina went to her house. At two o'clock we went to the library, Sam was there. I didn't say much because everything I wanted to say sounded dumb. Then Sabrina and I went to the pharmacy. Sam was there also. Then I went and got my hair cut. It looked really bad because it wasn't curled or anything. 11 days before doomsday - sounds very depressing - doesn't it? WELL - IT IS. Valentine's IS a doomsday, isn't it? It could kill someone with its monstrous cards and retched candy. It's very depressing also. I mean,  who, if you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend or etc., gives candy and cards out? Don't they just sit home and feel sorry for themselves knowing that another Valentine's Day has come and gone they couldn't give a Valentine to the person they like because they know that person will scoff in their face?  Well, its beyond me. 9:41

Today I didn't have to go to school because I had no final today! Anyway, today was really queer. First, Kelsey came over. Then Lacey. NEXT Kelsey invited Sabrina over. And Lacey invited Nadine so we were all there. Lacey decided to play Quarters and Sabrina got really drunk. Then mom called and said she was coming home early. So everyone left except Nadine who left around dinnertime. Then I got grounded for a week cuz moms sick and really crabby. Oh well! 11:04

Today I had my two exams, English and Science. I think I did OK on both, but I know English was better. When I got home, I went to Kelsey's for a while. Then she came over here and we called so many phone numbers looking for recording machines. Only got 3 and the phone number of a guy who has a VERY nice voice. I had to call twice just to make sure it was that good. Kelsey also was ranking on Kris Driscoll so much. She can be so mean! 11:14

Today I felt a little better. Well, the exam schedule was Algebra and French. I aced Algebra. So easy! French was another matter. I practically spent the whole hour and a half trying to read the directions! How distressing. But before all of this, in the cafeteria, I was looking around for Sam and when I didn't see him I said in a very loud voice "Where's Sam? Doesn't he have a Biology test today?" A shocked Kelsey pointed across the table to the next table not 5 feet away. Luckily I didn't say it THAT loud. Sam was sitting with his back to me studying for Biology. 10:25

Today we had mid-terms. I had History and Band. In History I'm getting a B-. I was so siked! During Band though, I felt really sick and one time I felt like I was going to faint. When I got home, I called Mom and she said I have the flu. GOD - every muscle in my body aches! Especially in my head and neck. Also the space shuttle Challenger crashed today. Seven people died. Well, not much happened today. I finally decided to say hi to Sam and when I do he says hi to Kelsey! (Kelsey insists that he said hi to me too). So then I tried it again, coming out of French. This time he just stared at me and I know he didn't say anything because I was listening! After school, Dahlia, Lacey and me went to the center of town. Then Dahlia went to karate so me and Lacey spent the rest of the time in the library writing on the tables. 10:08

Super Bowl Sunday! This is Super Bowl XX and I spent the day next door at Lacey's. We didn't do much, we worked out for a while, then Dahlia came over and we studied for IPS. Today I didn't go to school because I had a cold. So Dad took me to the doctor and they swabbed the back of my throat for a test to see whether I had strep throat or not. Today we had our Band concert. Really awesome let me tell you. But, that's beside the point. What IS the point is that I am doing my very, very best with Samuel and it's not working! Today was OK, up to a point.  Well, we were supposed to go to this rehearsal for Band. We did, but after the rehearsal, which ended at 9:30, there was no awaiting car. We got a ride to the High School from Valerie, and Mom gave me hell when I got home. I can't go anywhere for 3 weeks and that includes the phone! 10:06

After that, we went and sold the rest of the cookies to people who weren't home before and I went babysitting with Nadine. Today in Band, Maeve was talking to me about Callie's sister's clarinet when Sam walked by. I touched his shoulder and said "Hey Sam, what up" and he turned around and we smacked five. Maeve was dumbfounded. She said "Ohmigod Daphne before you were too scared to even LOOK at him!" So I said "I didn't look at him, all we did was smack five." Today was so upsetting. First in band, Sam looked so upset with his head in his hands and everything. Today sucked real bad. On my way to gym - I dropped a sneaker (in front of BEAU), but what I didn't realize was that I also dropped my t-shirt. Oh I saw Mr. Majors today. Just thinking of him puts knots in my stomach. Oh I know - it's usually only the boys who get crushes on teachers but this is different. I mean, he's so nice and so FINE. Today we saw Beverly Hills Cop again and then Deb let Lacey drive the car. She's pretty good! Then Kelsey saw this thing that I wrote on Lacey's garage window in the dust. Today Lacey decided to have a sleepover. So I went. But before I did, I gave Dad a kiss goodbye because he is leaving to go to Washington D.C. tomorrow. While I was at Lacey's, we saw three movies - Baby, Beverly Hills Cop and Ghost Story. In Baby, Lacey cried so much I was rolling! Today was Neil's birthday. On the bus home Lacey yelled "Happy Birthday Neil!" And every boy on the bus turned around and stared at him. "How old are ya?" one asked. "Um, 13", Neil said and then everyone tackled him. I also made dinner (meatloaf) and then saw Twilight Zone, Misfits of Science, and THE BEST - MIAMI VICE. Today was Lacey's birthday. I think I already told you that I got her chocolate covered raisins. Didn't I? Anyway - I'm positive I strained my finger. It still hurts a lot. In sectionals today Mr. Futsch decided to embarrass me and Maeve because we are the only 2nd level clarinets. Then I went to Girl Scouts. We had a lesson on CPR. Today we did a celebration for the Veterans. Two girls in color guard fainted! Then I went shopping with Kelsey but I didn't get anything. Just now I saw the last episode of "North and South". It was so sad! Well, it has been on since last week but I didn't watch it all. Nadine's still mad, but she won't tell Lacey why. I know why, but I think it would have blown over by now. Whoops! Forgot to tell you. Yesterday, I slept over Kelsey's last night. We stayed up until like 2 and the next day (around 1) I left. Then Lacey came over and then Kelsey. We went Girl Scout cookie selling again. When Kelsey had to go home, me and Lacey went to some more houses. Can you believe it? Candy Underwood and her father were out selling at the same time we were! So we gave up - 11:14. Oh yeah, Nadine's still mad!

Today was so fun! We (Dahlia, Wendy and I) went riding on Dahlia's 4-wheeler for the longest time. I didn't know Wendy was going to be there and that half-ruined it. While we were riding we saw two more vehicles coming up a trail. Today I got back from Lacey's. Then after lunch, we went to the center of town. I got a strand of pearls and a magazine. Then Nadine, Lacey and me were over each other's houses all day. Today Dad got back from Kentucky. I got earrings, a bracelet, a pin, a FORENZA scarf, and a sweater. Then Lacey wanted to know if I could sleep over. Today was Halloween, but wouldn't you know it, Mrs. Quay gave us homework. Then, when I got home, I made a lace shirt out of some scraps Olivia gave me. Mom bought me a black skirt, some paisley tights and a "Miami Mice" sweatshirt for my costume. It's so cute! Today I went to Dahlia's and Nadine was there. So we all went out on her 4-wheeler. While we were on the dikes we saw someone riding a horse, someone riding a dirt bike, and someone walking through the cornfields. Nadine was on the tail end and she almost fell off. I almost lost my hairclip and Dahlia knocked down a rope wall trying to get to a paved spot. What a day! 9:21

Today was OK! First off, Mrs. Quay gave everyone in the class the same progress report as me and Lacey! Then in Band, we found out that we would have been in second place had we competed (and not just performed) in yesterday's parade. Everyone thought we would be in 5th or 7th place. Today we had another parade. This one was for the 250th birthday of our town. It was really fun. Today Mrs. Quay conveniently stepped in just after the class bell rang. So I had no way of talking to her. And Kelsey got upset because Dahlia and Wendy were talking about her. Can you believe it? Something very funny happened today. We were in Band, and I couldn't find my books, purse or clarinet case. Later, I saw that my case was shoved way back into a corner, behind a piano, a bunch of ponchos, and Sam. So when Band let out I went to get it, but I couldn't reach my case. So I said "Sam, can you hand me my case?" And so he started acting weird and moving the case around on the ground and then he said "Oh I thought you said Keys." I was like - No! 10:12

Today was OK. We (Becky, Lana and me) went to the mall. Becky was pretty sulky most of the time because Lana wouldn't buy her everything she wanted. I bought a pin, a ring, some cover-up and a magazine. Then Mom and Dad got home and Lana left. From Mom and Dad I got a necklace, a ring, a desk light and a model horse to put in my collection. Today is the third day with no power. Now it's getting aggravating. Mom did some hand-washing today, she's allergic to bleach so some of her fingers are swollen. No power again today. This is so hard - I'm trying to write by flashlight now. It isn't working that well. Anyway, we tried to go to the movies today, but alas - no power there either! Shop Rite was so dark. I've never seen it so empty! Then we played Monopoly when we got home. Becky won! Lacey came in second, I in third, Dad in fourth and Nadine went bankrupt. Today is definitely a day to remember. A hurricane came to New England - they called it Hurricane Gloria. I am writing by candlelight because the power is out. It has been out for a good 12 hours. I missed General Hospital and the SEASON PREMIRE of MIAMI VICE because of this stupid fucking storm. I don't know what the exact time is, but before I came upstairs it said 11:00

Today I was over Nadine's and Lacey's for most of the day. We saw this movie called "Into the Night". Good movie - stupid ending. Then me, Dahlia, Lacey, Nadine and Wendy went to the mall. I got a poster of Miami Vice- totally cool! Then I got a shirt - pretty awesome! The thing was, though, I cannot stand going places where there is an unequal number of people. In this case there were five. And also in this case - Nadine paired up with Dahlia and Lacey paired up with Wendy. So I paired off with myself most of the time. Yawn! Time to go to sleep. 10:48

Today I was in such a bad mood. This is so hard! Trying to get over Sam isn't going to be easy let me tell you! Anyway, no one gave us homework over the weekend except that bitch Mrs. Quay, I swear - she should be shot! Giving us homework - 33 terms - plus a paper? Daaammn! Then Nadine and Lacey came over after school and Nadine came over again after dinner and we watched the MTV Video Awards. Then, after she left, I watched Miami Vice and now I'm about to fall asleep in this book if I don't stop writing! 11:46

Today was very upsetting. Seth asked Sam - but so did Nadine! I'm so mad at her - she had no right to open her big mouth. Anyway, Sam isn't talking. When Seth asked, Sam goes "Does Daphne want to know?" and Seth goes "Yeah - sort of", and Sam said "Well, if Daphne wants to know, I'm not saying anything because if I do that's the first person who'll find out." Today Seth told me that Sam likes 2 people. This is so upsetting! I told Seth to find out who they were. I think they might be either Kendra X and Callie D or some 10th graders. Anyway that was the highlight of my day. Except that when I got home, Nadine came over and then Lacey. God I can't stop thinking about who those 2 people would be! I'm mad at Seth. Today is Nadine's birthday. Wendy and Dahlia got up at 9:30 (I had to wake them - sleepyheads). Then, after they left, Nadine and Lacey came over. We cleaned my room, and other shit like that. Then I had to go to my music lessons. I think I got the guy who Kelsey had last year! That's about it. Today was pretty boring. I can't understand why I can't think of anymore to say. Monday, September 16, 1985 (age 14)



Today is my birthday! Yeah! I got a stuffed unicorn, make up and 40 dollars from Mom and Dad. Dahlia gave me a stuffed dog, a stuffed cat and earrings from Kelsey, eyeshadow from Lacey and Wendy, and Sabrina called to say Happy Birthday. Olivia gave me 5 dollars and Becky gave me perfume. We had this big party at my house. Becky, Mom and Dad weren't home. Dahlia, Lacey, Nadine, Wendy and sometimes Nick came over and we blasted the stereo. Then Neil, Dahlia, Wendy and me went and egged some people's houses. (Dahlia and Wendy are sleeping over). 10:24 P.S. Also flowers and a camera!

Today we (Dahlia, Wendy and me) went to Nadine's birthday party. We watched Friday the 13th I, II, AND III. They were all so gross! Nadine gave me my birthday present early. It's a stuffed cow. It's so cute! Also, she got me 3 lace strips that you tie in your hair. They are white, blue and pink. That's about it I guess. 10:17

Today I went to Lacey's soccer game. They lost 4-0. Well, then after the game, Lacey came over and we went to the center of town. While we were there I saw Bonnie C, Tabitha T, Seth, Sam, Keith, Eddie, Ted S, Kelsey and her three 7th grade friends, and last but not least, Vaughn Quale. Oh and David, but I don't count him, haha. Anyway, I got Nadine's present, a poster of 3 cats dressed up really "punk". I put it on hold and then lost the receipt but then found it again later. Whew! Well, I'm bombed - later! 10:36

Friday, September 13, 1985 (age 13)



Whoa! A Friday the 13th! Haven't had one of those in a long time! Anyway, I saw Bob Craig today! Psychic! I don't like Dan - he's so immature - and he hangs around the nerdliest people! It's so sad! I also hate my lunch period - my four "favorite" people are in it - Dahlia, Kelsey, Sabrina and Wendy. In Band I saw Sam - oh wow! Then we had a pep rally, it was so fun! I clapped the hardest for Sam and Seth. Then after school, Lacey came over and then she came over again after dinner. Gosh, we have so much in common! And that's about it I guess. 10:14

Thursday, September 12, 1985 (age 13)

Well! Now we're on the right day! The only thing exciting that happened today was 1) I saw Bob Craig 2) I saw Sam 3) I told off Dahlia - and that's it! Except that in Band we had to go outside - it was so cold! I didn't have an instrument so I looked pretty dumb amongst about 80 other people who all had instruments and flags. We also went to Girl Scouts tonight and I signed up for another year - I don't believe I did that. Oh well! 10:13
