Today was so boring. I wanted to go to the mall with Lacey and Wendy - but Becky wouldn't go anywhere!
So Dahlia called and told me that Kelsey told her I didn't like her (Dahlia). Then Nadine went babysitting,
but after dinner I went over to her house. We went for a bike ride, but we met Kelsey and she wanted to tag
along. But Nadine made up an excuse and Kelsey left. Now she's over here - she's going to sleep over!

Thursday, August 22, 1985 (age 13)



Today Kelsey came over. Then Lacey came over. Then Nadine came over. Now, I can't very well have 3
people in the house when I'm only allowed 2 - right? So, in a way, we "kicked" Kelsey out. Oh gosh I do
believe I am going to make a splendid actress someday - I was very good, I think. Anyway, when they all
left (they went school shopping), I called Wendy and we talked for a while. Then I went for a bike ride and

Wednesday, August 21, 1985 (age 13)



Today Lacey and Nadine came over and we tried to make brownies - but Lacey put them in the microwave
for too long and they burned. Well, it was so funny when Dad tried to eat one and they were as solid as a
rock! Anyway, that's about all that happened today. I guess that's what you'd call the "highlight" of it all. So
I am going to play Solitaire before I hit the sack. 10:14 P.S. I think Bob Craig is SO friggin' fine!

Tuesday, August 20, 1985 (age 13)




Today Becky, me, Mom and Wendy went to the mall. Lacey stayed an extra day with her family in Rhode
Island, so me and Wendy went without her. I got a pair of plaid pants, sneakers and a poster of Grant
(General Hospital). When we got home and after Wendy left, I mowed the grass. Nadine came over a half
an hour after I was done. She got me two things from the beach - a really pretty white shell and a dried up
seahorse. After that, I went over to their house for a while and that's all! 11:03

Monday, August 19, 1985 (age 13)



Today was so boring. Kelsey came over here and STAYED here for about 6 hours! After General Hospital,
I called Wendy and talked to her for a while (for about 4 of the 6 hours, Kelsey just sat in front of the
television) and we tried everything to get rid of her! But then, she finally left. Afterward, Wendy called
back and we called Lee Epstein - Wendy was in hysterics. Lacey isn't home yet - I wonder what's keeping

Today Kelsey came over and we had lunch. Then she left at 3 to go someplace with her mom. I went to the
center of town with Wendy but stupid me! I forgot today was Sunday and all we did was roam around. We
went to Sabrina's and she showed us a picture of her boyfriend, Nick. Boy is he ugly! Then Kelsey came
over again when I got back from the center of town and she ate dinner at my house. Then I watched
"Dreamscape". I haven't seen that in so long! 12:08

Saturday, August 17, 1985 (age 13)


Today Kelsey came over and we went to the center of town. I put a pair of pants on hold at Weathervane -
and got a magazine and some more Sun-In. Then Mom and Dad had this little party. God are they boring!
All they do is sit around and talk. Olivia, Mabel, Maxine and this kid that works at the store with Mom
came to the house before everyone else. Olivia put a pie in Mom's face! Boy did she look funny! Oh well,

Today Nadine and Lacey came over. Then Nick came because he wanted to use our dustbuster. Then I lost
my wallet. Then Nick left because he wanted to go to the center of town. Then Nadine left because she
had to bake a cake. I found my wallet - Mom had it in her purse. After dinner, we went to Weathervane and
I got a yellow sweater and a white shirt. Then I saw Michael J. Fox on this program called "Time Travel",
but I didn't see it all because I went to Nadine's. Nadine thinks Nik Huntley is cute - I think that is so gross.

Thursday, August 15, 1985 (age 13)



Today Lacey came over and every time the doorbell rang we would think it was Kelsey so I would rush
into the bathroom, turn the shower on full blast, and Lacey would answer the door. That happened twice and
neither time it was her. Dad came home today too, he got me this t-shirt that has New York written in
glitter. Also, he got me these three lace pieces to tie in your hair. He got red, black and white. Last he gave
me a necklace that has an apple charm on it - cute. 11:33

Wednesday, August 14, 1985 (age 13)



Today Nadine came over while I was still in my pajamas! She left after I took my shower but never fear -
Kelsey's here! Yeah, she came over AGAIN. Then she left to go eat lunch or something and when she came
back she brought me a picture of SAM! SIKEAMONDE! She let me borrow the picture until I could get the negative done over. Way later, like at 9:00, me and Nadine called Harold again. It's beginning to become a habit. Nadine was spazzing so bad - Harold couldn't get one word in! I think I'm beginning to like him - oh

Tuesday, August 13, 1985 (age 13)



Today was kinda crummy. I invited Kelsey over (my big mistake) and then Nadine came over. We were
looking through magazines trying to find the "perfect" haircut for Nadine. We tried to call Harold again but
the first time the line was busy and the second time he wasn't home. Oh well - I wanted to try calling myself,
but what would I say? So I didn't. This was an exciting day, huh? I'll bet tomorrow will be no different -

Monday, August 12, 1985 (age 13)



Today is Callie's birthday - well, that's what Kelsey wrote on my calendar. But today was pretty cool.
Lacey, Nadine and me were prank-calling all these people, and we called Isaac - the boy Lacey likes. Well,
I wanted to make sure that it really WAS Isaac so I said "Do you know Lacey? Neil's sister?" and Lacey
thought I asked him if he liked her and she got mad. Then she went home to call him and apologize -
imagine that! Anyway - after she left, me and Nadine called Harold Ivanhoe and we talked to him for a
while, but that's all. 12:07

Sunday, August 11, 1985 (age 13)



Today we went to Bob's Surplus, the flea market, JC Penney's (where I got a very nice red sweater), G.Fox, The Card Gallery (where I got a stuffed unicorn for my birthday), and back home again. Kelsey came over - yeah, she's home. I hope she doesn't invite herself over EVERYDAY for the rest of the summer - that really drives me crazy - ya know? I hope Sabrina invites her over everyday. It's so peaceful when she's not here. Oh well. Lacey got her haircut yesterday, and that's about it. 11:10

Today we went to the drug store with Dad. I got a package of Stri-Dex. And guess who was there! Ivy
Cubero and her old snotty self. Then, I was bored for the rest of the day. But after dinner, I went to the
carnival (today was the last day!), and I went on two rides with Nadine.
Now I'll tell you my top 5 finest guys according to me, here goes: 1) Sam Dawson 2) Bob Craig 3) Edgar I

Today was so boring. Wendy and Lacey weren't home, and Nadine was babysitting, so there was no one
around at all! Well, we went out to dinner, and we didn't get to go to the carnival because Becky was being
a bitch and got us both in trouble. After dinner we went to CVS - Becky said to ask about my wallet that she lost - and can you believe it? It was there! And no money missing! I bought some mousse and gel, and Mom got me a makeup case for my birthday. I am also reading "Skeleton Crew" by Stephen King - good book. 11:55

Thursday, August 8, 1985 (age 13)


Today Lacey left to go to babysitting while I was still asleep so when I woke up, she was gone. Wendy and
me had to go to the store because they had nothing for breakfast. Then I went to Wendy's "work" at this old
people's home. A lot of people there were really nice too! Then Wendy, Lacey and me went shopping with
Mom and Becky. Becky lost my wallet so I couldn't buy anything, but Wendy and Lacey did. Then we went
to the carnival - Lovey and Dovey were there but I only saw them together once! It's unbelievable! 11:19

Wednesday, August 7, 1985 (age 13)



Today me and Lacey went to sleep over Wendy's house. We went to the carnival, but it was closed, so we
went to the diner instead. What a day to remember! First off, there was this really fine waiter and we were
all a little giddy. Then Lacey ordered. She wanted a "Heavenly Hash" ice cream cone, but she forgot that
sugar cones were called "sugar cones" so she said "the hard kind". Wendy and me cracked up so bad! Then
we went back and walked around for a while and watched some TV. And that's all for today! 1:10

Tuesday, August 6, 1985 (age 13)



I went to the carnival today. Nadine is still mad - she is even hanging around Leah Vogal because she won't
be seen with Lacey! Well, I found Lacey and Wendy and we didn't see Lovey and Dovey today. But Nadine said that she saw Lovey over at the center of town without Dovey. Can you believe it? I thought they were molded together or something. Well, that's about all. These days it seems like everyday is the same as the other. 10:14

Monday, August 5, 1985 (age 13)



Today we went to the carnival. And guess who was there! Yes, Lovey and Dovey (I named Bonnie Dovey
and Sam Lovey). I nickname only special people who make me either incredibly happy or disgustingly sick.
In this situation it's obviously the latter. Also, Nadine's mad at me and Lacey because me, Lacey and Wendy
went to the center of town so Lacey could use the bathroom. But she's not mad at Wendy because Wendy
APOLOGIZED.  Can you believe it? 11:44

On my calendar, it says that today is FRIENDSHIP DAY. It's like whoopie sike. Anyway - I went over to
Nadine's and ate lunch there, then we played Monopoly and LIFE practically all day! I also saw the video
"Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News. It wasn't anything like I had expected.
Dad made this really cool hutch thing - it's got glass shelves, glass doors, and a little light at the top so if
you want to display something nice you can! Well, g-nite. 11:09

Saturday, August 3, 1985 (age 13)



Today we (Deb, Lacey, Neil, Nadine and me) went to the CG concert. I didn't go to see Johnny Cash, I went to see Sam. We were working at a concession stand and guess who happened to be there! Miss Lovey-Dovey girlfriend, Bonnie C! I hate her so much. Wotta bitch! God - and the worst part of it is that she fooled around with Sam the whole time in front of me! Boy was I pissed. But before we left, I saw him for one last time WITHOUT HER. The best treat of the day! 12:38

Today is Becky's birthday. I got her a notepad, a sheet of stickers, and 5 magic markers. It was a really
boring day though. Can't wait until tomorrow! I am going to the CG concert (Johnny Cash - ugh!). But
Lacey says Sam will be there! I am SO SIKED. Lacey saw him at the diner today. How come when I go
there I never see ANYONE I know? I haven't seen him in a month and a half! I am definitely NOT SIKED
about that! Hope tomorrow will bring a PLEASANT change. 12:12

Thursday, August 1, 1985 (age 13)



Today Kelsey came over and we played LIFE. Then we were outside playing with Lacey's dog Tinkle when
Mom started to scream at me. She even took the 5 dollars that Aunt Fay gave me! I couldn't believe she did
that! But I didn't want to get grounded for saying that she was wrong - so I kept my mouth shut. Then I went
over to Lacey's and then to the center of town. Lacey got a couple of shirts, and that was about it. 11:02

Today Nadine went over to Dahlia's. We heard Kelsey was there too. Nadine pulled Dahlia into her little
scam and now all three of them are "bestest" friends. God! That burns me up! Well, me and Lacey definitely
are not going to get pulled in too! No way Jose! Anyway, it rained all day and nothing really happened at

Tuesday, July 30, 1985 (age 13)



Today Kelsey came over while I was trying on clothes to see if they still fit. Then Dan came over with his
"movie-camera-with-no-film". They stayed for so long - I couldn't stand it, so I called Lacey and we made a
plan with Becky and they left. I was like SIKE! Then Lacey came over and invited me to eat dinner at her
house. After dinner I looked through her magazines and we both decided we should be in Seventeen's "Best
Friends" article. Talk about a fresh day! 10:36

Monday, July 29, 1985 (age 13)



Today Kelsey "dropped" over. She stayed for about 10 minutes and then said she had to leave, but would be back soon. After she left, Lacey and Nadine came over and we played Monopoly. While this was going on, Kelsey "dropped" in again. I wanted her to leave so bad! Then she pulled out some souvenirs and gave me 2 pairs of earrings. One was unicorns, the other I guess was hearts, but they were really ugly. At about 6:00 I went over to Lacey's house. While I was there, Nick asked Nadine if Kelsey was her best friend again. She said not really, but it didn't seem like it! 11:07

Today is Dahlia's birthday. We got to bed at like 2:30am so we didn't get up until 9:30 or 10. After
breakfast and showers, we didn't do much. Then, after a late lunch we went swimming in Dahlia's aunt's
pool. Then Kelsey called (again). We had cake and then we went outside and sat around for a while. Then
we went swimming (again). We got home at like 8:00 and I went over to Nadine's. Kelsey came over and
can you believe it? Nadine's practically best friends with her again! 11:09

Today we left for Dahlia's birthday party. I don't know what Nadine got her, but I got her a pair of earrings,
and Lacey got her (or actually made her) a cake. Then we went to the amusement park - so much fun! When we got back we found out that Kelsey had called. Like wow. We really don't like her anymore. She talks too much about us, and she loves to two-time! Anyway, while we were setting up to go to sleep, we saw this movie called The Joy of Sex. NO - and it's not porn either! 11:05

Today Dahlia called me and asked me to call Martin and get him really confused by saying I was this girl
who thought Martin was someone else. It was so fun! He got SO confused. Then Lacey and Nadine came
over and we played a couple of games. Then, after dinner, Lacey had to babysit, so me and Nadine
went with her and played Monopoly for a while. Then we played Charades - and then it got so late that
me and Nadine had to walk home in the rain to prevent me from getting grounded! Fun - huh? 11:34

Today Becky went to the town pool - right? So me and Lacey went to Wendy's and played LIFE. Then
Lacey and I went to the diner and we got Cokes. After, when we got home, I played Scavenger Hunt with
her and then with Nadine. After that, Dad, Mom, Becky and me went to eat dinner at this place called
Lucy's. When that was done, they got ice cream and went to the junk store, while I stayed in the car. When
we got home, I went to Nadine's to watch this movie called "Tuff Turf". It was pretty cool! 10:48

Wednesday, July 24, 1985 (age 13)



Today I went to get my haircut after coming back from Nadine's. It looked so awful! It was all flat and
everything! Then, after Becky got hers, we went to Something Special and I got 3 pairs of pants, a sweater
vest, and a big shirt. Then we went home.
Can you believe it? Dahlia actually called me after a week and a half! Wow! Then she came over Nadine's
house and I got my perm. It is so friggin' curly! Then we played Flashlight Tag, Ouija and Scavenger Hunt
until it was time to go home. 11:17
