Today I was in such a bad mood. This is so hard! Trying to get over Sam isn't going to be easy let me tell you! Anyway, no one gave us homework over the weekend except that bitch Mrs. Quay, I swear - she should be shot! Giving us homework - 33 terms - plus a paper? Daaammn! Then Nadine and Lacey came over after school and Nadine came over again after dinner and we watched the MTV Video Awards. Then, after she left, I watched Miami Vice and now I'm about to fall asleep in this book if I don't stop writing! 11:46

Today was very upsetting. Seth asked Sam - but so did Nadine! I'm so mad at her - she had no right to open her big mouth. Anyway, Sam isn't talking. When Seth asked, Sam goes "Does Daphne want to know?" and Seth goes "Yeah - sort of", and Sam said "Well, if Daphne wants to know, I'm not saying anything because if I do that's the first person who'll find out." I was like oh m'god! That's so fucking jive! Everyone says one of them has to be me - but that's a one in a billion chance. No way! Oh well - tah! 9:50

Today Seth told me that Sam likes 2 people. This is so upsetting! I told Seth to find out who they were. I think they might be either Kendra X and Callie D or some 10th graders. Anyway that was the highlight of my day. Except that when I got home, Nadine came over and then Lacey. God I can't stop thinking about who those 2 people would be! I'm mad at Seth. I've been calling him all day today - and the fucking phone has been busy! Damn! I'm finding out tomorrow buddy! 9:55

Tuesday, September 17, 1985 (age 14)



Today is Nadine's birthday. Wendy and Dahlia got up at 9:30 (I had to wake them - sleepyheads). Then, after they left, Nadine and Lacey came over. We cleaned my room, and other shit like that. Then I had to go to my music lessons. I think I got the guy who Kelsey had last year! That's about it. Today was pretty boring. I can't understand why I can't think of anymore to say. Monday, September 16, 1985 (age 14)



Today is my birthday! Yeah! I got a stuffed unicorn, make up and 40 dollars from Mom and Dad. Dahlia gave me a stuffed dog, a stuffed cat and earrings from Kelsey, eyeshadow from Lacey and Wendy, and Sabrina called to say Happy Birthday. Olivia gave me 5 dollars and Becky gave me perfume. We had this big party at my house. Becky, Mom and Dad weren't home. Dahlia, Lacey, Nadine, Wendy and sometimes Nick came over and we blasted the stereo. Then Neil, Dahlia, Wendy and me went and egged some people's houses. (Dahlia and Wendy are sleeping over). 10:24 P.S. Also flowers and a camera!

Today we (Dahlia, Wendy and me) went to Nadine's birthday party. We watched Friday the 13th I, II, AND III. They were all so gross! Nadine gave me my birthday present early. It's a stuffed cow. It's so cute! Also, she got me 3 lace strips that you tie in your hair. They are white, blue and pink. That's about it I guess. 10:17

Saturday, September 14, 1985 (age 13)



Today I went to Lacey's soccer game. They lost 4-0. Well, then after the game, Lacey came over and we went to the center of town. While we were there I saw Bonnie C, Tabitha T, Seth, Sam, Keith, Eddie, Ted S, Kelsey and her three 7th grade friends, and last but not least, Vaughn Quale. Oh and David, but I don't count him, haha. Anyway, I got Nadine's present, a poster of 3 cats dressed up really "punk". I put it on hold and then lost the receipt but then found it again later. Whew! Well, I'm bombed - later! 10:36

Friday, September 13, 1985 (age 13)



Whoa! A Friday the 13th! Haven't had one of those in a long time! Anyway, I saw Bob Craig today! Psychic! I don't like Dan - he's so immature - and he hangs around the nerdliest people! It's so sad! I also hate my lunch period - my four "favorite" people are in it - Dahlia, Kelsey, Sabrina and Wendy. In Band I saw Sam - oh wow! Then we had a pep rally, it was so fun! I clapped the hardest for Sam and Seth. Then after school, Lacey came over and then she came over again after dinner. Gosh, we have so much in common! And that's about it I guess. 10:14

Well! Now we're on the right day! The only thing exciting that happened today was 1) I saw Bob Craig 2) I saw Sam 3) I told off Dahlia - and that's it! Except that in Band we had to go outside - it was so cold! I didn't have an instrument so I looked pretty dumb amongst about 80 other people who all had instruments and flags. We also went to Girl Scouts tonight and I signed up for another year - I don't believe I did that. Oh well! 10:13

Wednesday, September 11, 1985 (age 13)

Today was boring. Well see, I don't really remember what happened today because I'm writing here on the 12th of September because last night I totally forgot to write here in this space. But I remember one thing and that was Dad took my trumpet down to get it fixed. They said they didn't know if they could fix it because the slides were corroted <= sp. And that's all I remember! Well, now I'm gonna go and write on the space I'm REALLY supposed to - on the right day and everything. P.S. No time because I don't know last night's time - oh well!

Tuesday, September 10, 1985 (age 13)




Today was such an awful day! First, in Band, we were playing our marching band instruments (well, I wasn't, mine is broken), when Mr. Futsch decided to move seats. I was sitting next to Kelsey and Marvin Spelling. Sam came over and gave Marvin this look like "Oh shit Marvin - look who I have to sit next to". I was SO upset! Then to top it all off - we had this lab in Science and I was wearing Mom's $42 Evan Picone sweater and all this black stuff got all over it! But thank god it came out. Today was such a bitch. First off, I had so much homework! And then Dahlia - god - talk about bitches! Then I found out that Kelsey is going out with Victor - she never even told me! I had to hear it from Lacey and Nadine. Sabrina told Tyler that I french-kiss phones and that I think a blow job is when you blow on it! God - I was so embarrassed! Oh - about the ambulance - they took Neil to the hospital again because he was dehydrating. The only good thing about this day was that I saw Bob Craig and Sam! 9:52

Today we went to church. Gosh, we haven't gone in a long time! Anyway, then I went to Lacey's. We went to the drugstore, where I got 3 notebooks for school and then to CVS, where I didn't get anything, oh and to Shop-Rite. I got some hairspray there. Then when we got home we found out that Neil was in the hospital. He passed out while he was playing football or something. About 15 minutes ago - something awful happened! I don't know what it is, but there were 2 cop cars and an ambulance outside of Nadine's door! 10:03

Today Mom wanted me to clean my room and mow the front yard. I said OK and that I would mow the lawn as soon as I was done cleaning my room. When I was done with the room, I found out that Mom had already cut the lawn. So I said "Mom, I told you I would". So she made me do the side yard AND the back too! Because she can NEVER admit she is wrong. Then, I went over Nadine's, but she came over to my house to sleep over while I babysat Becky. Mom and Dad went out to dinner and I'm so tired! 12:07

Today was so funny. Nadine kept trying to talk to me and I kept ignoring her and Dahlia. Sam was out today too. Seth said he strained his ankle when they were exercising. That ruined it. Ruined the whole day. I talked on the phone to Lacey, Kelsey, Nadine and Sabrina too. Lacey and Nadine both came over. Nadine is my friend now because she just walked into my house and says "OK, we're playing LIFE now." I'm like Oh, we are, are we? Well, good night now. 10:53

Today we had school. School is always boring, no matter if its a different school every year! Anyway, when we got home, Lacey and Nadine came over. Nadine and Dahlia called Kelsey and ranked on her so bad. I hate them now. Then, as soon as I called Kelsey to be friends again, Nadine and Dahlia decided to be friends too. No wait - bestest friends. I'm so confused. I hate Dahlia and Nadine, I'm in between with Kelsey and Sabrina - it seems that only Lacey and Wendy are my only true friends! 9:36

Today was the fist day of SCHOOL. Yes, boring old school - only now it's a new boring SCHOOL, where I couldn't find my way around even if I had a map. Well, I did, but with no help. After school, I remembered I forgot my key and got Neil to open a window. Then I went to the dentist and he said no more bite plate! Yeah! Anyway, when we got home, Dad forgot HIS key and we had to go to Mom's work to get hers. Then we went to JC Penney's and Bradlees. Well, gotta go! 10:03

Today Dad and Becky took Aunt Fay back home. Mom went to work - so I was all by myself. Anyway, I went to the center of town with Lacey and Nadine to get some things. We went to CVS and I got some pens, pencils, a notepad for assignments, and a magazine. We went home and I watched General Hospital. After dinner I talked to Sabrina and Wendy on the phone. Today Kelsey was over Lacey and Nadine's again. Looks like they got the bum end of the deal, huh? Anyway she left with Victor on his motorcycle, so Lacey, me and Nadine went to Shop-Rite, CVS, and to Movieland Video where they rented a movie. When we got home Kelsey was there waiting for us. I was like ohmigod! Later, I left to go eat and Sabrina called at like 8:30 and that's all I guess. 10:13

Today was pretty boring. We were going to go to a movie - Lacey and I - but we couldn't find a ride back so we called Wendy. Wendy said OK, but right when we were going to leave, Kelsey came over and kind of invited herself along. Well, we didn't go in the afternoon because we left too late. So we went to the 7:20 show and saw "Teen Wolf". Pretty excellent! When we got out, there was this bunch of nerds who were trying to pick us up. Boy, were they queer! Today we left to go back home. I got up late and had to rush so bad! Then we went to pick up Aunt Fay. She is staying until Tuesday. Anyway, we got home at about quarter after two and I spent the rest of the day at Lacey and Nadine's. Nadine was grounded until five, and then Kelsey came over and got her grounded again until seven! Then we watched this movie called "The Final Terror". Also, Victor only likes Kelsey because she's nice. Now, isn't that a blast? 11:09

Friday, August 30, 1985 (age 13)



Today me and Dad left to go to Grandma's house. It was so awful getting there! First, it rained. Then, there was all this construction junk going on, so we were late getting there. Well, that was the highlight of the day folks because the rest was boring. Except that Kelsey's party is tonight and I can't make it because I am here! Oh well. Today Sam wasn't at band! Oh well, I saw him yesterday. Anyway, band was dull as ever so I won't tell you about it. Kelsey and Nadine came over today and then Neil and Victor. Victor is so friggin' fine! He got a haircut and he looks so cute - me and Kelsey were practically on the floor! I told everyone I didn't like Sam anymore and Kelsey didn't believe me. But I still do! I just want someone to tell him that I don't so that we can become friends. But believe me, I do! P.S. Victor North is so fine! 11:26

Today we had band practice again and guess who was there! Sam! We didn't do much at practice but right when we were leaving Billy Natts and Mr. Futsch taught a couple of us how to play the trumpet. I'm getting there! Then Kelsey invited me over and then Keith and Seth. Sam couldn't come because he had to mow the lawn. When I got home I went to the center of town and found out that earlier, Lacey had been with Sam for 2 hours at the center! Boy am I mad! 9:12 P.S. I still <3 Sam no matter what!

Tuesday, August 27, 1985 (age 13)



Today was SO wicked fun! First off, Sam and Bonnie aren't going out anymore! But, I didn't see him at band practice. Then, Lacey invited me and Wendy to sleep over. I didn't want to at first, but Lacey called Sam and talked to him while I listened on the other phone. Then while we were at Lacey's, he called back and I actually talked to him! Oh my god can you believe it? I was SO wicked siked! Oh my god, well, time to sign off now 8:09 P.S. Keith Dacosta is so cute!

Today it rained again. It stopped for a while, so Lacey, Nadine and me went to the center of town. We met Wendy there. First, we went to the candy store where I got a cute little stuffed animal (horse) and then we went to the diner. While we were there, it began to rain. So we ran back and into Weathervane where Lacey got an outfit for school, Nadine got some pants and a shirt, I got a pair of socks, and Wendy didn't get anything. And that is about all! 9:42 P.S. Today it rained. Dad, me, and Mom went to all these stores though. First we went to J.C. Penney's and then to G. Fox. Then we went to Levitz, Channel (where Dad bought Becky a mirror and a lock for me), and Zayre. Then we went out to eat at Pizza Hut. Then we went to Medi-Mart (oh, at G. Fox Mom and me each got a nightgown), at Medi-Mart I got a bag for school, Noxema skin cream, Ten-O-Six cleansing lotion and Perma-soft hairspray, sike huh? 11:01 P.S. I like Harold Ivanhoe now!

Saturday, August 24, 1985 (age 13)



Today we woke up pretty late. Then, while Nadine was taking a shower, Aunt Bea and three nuns came over. They had lunch and then took Becky down to Grandma's house with them. I have a whole week off from babysitting! After dinner I went next door and was with Lacey. When I got home I watched this movie called "Phar Lap". It was so sad! I have never cried watching a movie, but I was crying like anything at the end! 10:55 P.S. Galvin Elkhart is really cute!
