Today was partly OK. I said Hi to Evan in the hall and he said hi back! Speaking of this, Sabrina told Nadine that I liked him! I couldn't believe it - I told her not to say anything and she had to say something to Nadine. Now she's mad because she says she still likes him. I say that's bullshit because she told me that she didn't like him because Rachel Lerner was going to go out with him. Also saw Miami Vice. 11:09

Thursday, December 19, 1985

Today was OK but boring. I thought this was so jive. In English we had this substitute - he wrote the assignment on the board, said "Do this" and that was it. But the very next period he told jokes and handed out candy to everyone in the class - I couldn't believe it! 
I think I really like Evan even though all day I never had the guts to say anything to him. Oh well, tomorrow's another day! 10:00

Wednesday, December 18, 1985

Today was SO awesome. Although it was Flower Day and no one sent me a flower, today was OK. First, I was running around the school for two periods delivering Snowflake Poems to the teachers. Then in Band, Dan said that Mr. Majors loved my poem - oh was I glad! Then in Study Hall, Evan Grant gave me a flower - it was his and he just gave it to me! God was I siked. Tuesday, December 17, 1985

Today sucked real bad. On my way to gym - I dropped a sneaker (in front of BEAU), but what I didn't realize was that I also dropped my t-shirt. When I got to gym I noticed the shirt was gone so I had to go back upstairs and retrieve it. The gym locker room was locked so I had to change in the bathroom. I left my sweater in the gym and almost missed the bus because LACEY WAS SO SLOW IN GETTING IT. GOD. 10:09

Today was quite dull. In English we have to write letters to these people in Arizona! Quite weird, yo. Sam is becoming quite ugly too. He really needs a haircut and his face is full of acne. Sad - let me tell you. Dad got 4 movies today. I saw the end of Gremlins. That movie was pretty dumb, let me tell you. Well, I best be going. 9:34

Today was OK. Lacey, Nadine and I had no way of getting to the center of town so we walked the railroad tracks. It's much easier than riding bikes - and if you jog - it's also much healthier. So we went to almost every store (every store that was open) and that included the junk store. I wasn't about to stand out in front of that store where everyone could see you and also freeze your ass off. So I RELUCTANTLY went in. 9:20

Today was a very interesting Friday the 13th. I told Lacey that I may like Marvin Spelling but I really don't! Oh well. Then I saw Star Trek 3, First Born, Diff'rent Strokes, and Misfits of Science. And lastly, Miami Vice! It was so cool because Phil Collins was on it! Well, bye! 11:02

Today was fun. There was a rumor going around that Mr. Futsch dropped a sousaphone on his foot and broke it - but Larissa said she only made it up. Then we had Girl Scouts. We had a tasting party and a grab bag. I got earrings and a scarf. 10:09

Today nothing happened much. Except that I almost ran into Beau on the stairs again. Kelsey also wasn't here and that's about all because not much happened after that. Brr! Is it cold! Better go! 10:07

I think I may like Vance Edison.  I really don't know if it's infatuation or not but I don't know. He's so nice and everything - but I can never show this to anyone. God - that felt good. I almost told Lacey but when she asked I said Beau - can you believe it!? God, am I glad I didn't tell her. She probably would have laughed and said Oh Gross! But enough of that. Oh one more thing, Oliver Tobel has longer fingernails than Kelsey! Yuck! 10:08

Today - ohmigod you will NOT believe this. I was walking down the hall on my way to lunch, when I saw Beau. I didn't recognize him at first, and was trying to figure out who he was, and when I did, he smiled at me! I was like ohmigod. No one believes me. Especially Sabrina - who used to like him! Talk about jealous! Then Sam said hi to me. I was like OK! Well, that's all for today. 9:24

Sunday, December 8, 1985

Today Dad, Becky and Mom all went to get a Christmas tree. When they got back we (Becky, Dad, Lacey, me, Mom) went to the mall. We went to the flea market there too. At the flea market I got Mom's present. It's a silver locket (heart) and the heart's top is black with little diamonds. Then we went to the mall. I got Sabrina's present, Christmas cards, a model horse, a sweater and a scarf. When we got home I was SO tired. Well, gotta go! 10:20

Today was pretty cool. I went to work with Mom. I didn't even get a headache! Mom taught me how to operate the cash register. I liked to work there. I think I will when I'm "at age", but after a while, my feet hurt. Then Mom was going to get me something at "Something Special" because I wasn't going to get paid (obviously). But the store closed at six, so she will tomorrow. 10:57

HI! TODAY I WENT TO THE CENTER WITH DAHLIA. I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING. THEN MOM had a Christmas party with the people of the store. I GOT A LITTLE BOMBED. HOW'S 2 1/2 GLASSES catch your eye? GOD, AND I HAVE TO GO TO WORK WITH MOM TOMORROW!!!! OH WELL. GOD I AM SO TIRED. GOOD NIGHT. 9:40

Today was OK, I think. I mean, I can't remember what happened! Oh yeah - we got our school pictures. Everyone liked mine, except Mom. She said I looked like a tramp with my too-long hair. Oh well! We also went to a 2 1/2 hour rehearsal at the Junior High for band. It was OK - everything except that Sam and Beverly just HAPPENED to sit together and they just HAPPENED to sit behind me. Wednesday, December 4, 1985

Today was kind of dull with a few exceptions. Mr. Futsch called me into his office today and started asking all sorts of questions relating to why I didn't go to the Day After Thanksgiving Parade. Then, at the end, he said he was going to PUNISH me for not going! His exact word, people, was PUNISH. I was rolling! That was the highlight of today, not much else - 10:10

Today was extremely interesting. First, Kelsey wrote me this note saying SORRY! Can you believe it? Then, in Band, Mr. Futsch embarrassed me so bad in front of the whole band! I was like - OK! Then Dad came home from Washington DC. If I didn't tell you, he left on the 29th. After that, I went to music lessons. Then I went babysitting. And now I'm here! 10:40

Today was pretty dull. All last night I was so siked up about what Sam would say to me today and guess what! Not a word! Not even "hi"!!! Boy am I ever upset! Well, anyway that's about all. I couldn't go to the center with Lacey because I didn't have any money . Dad was supposed to come home tonight but he isn't because of something with the plane. And that's all folks! 10:08

Saturday, November 30, 1985

Today started out OK. We went shopping and I got a grab bag gift for Girl Scouts and something for Christmas. Then at home, Nadine and Lacey came over. Their phone had broke so they couldn't call first. Then Nadine came over after dinner and we called Lenny Erskine. He was having this party (Sam, Marvin Spelling, Eddie Macaskill, and Keith Dacosta) and Mom told us to get off the phone. Well, Nadine couldn't get him to hang up so Mom grounded me from the phone for a week! 10:28

Friday, November 29, 1985

Today was very interesting. First - the Cabots came to see Damien (ed.note: the Cabots were neighbors that moved away a few years prior, and Damien is an elderly neighbor who lives alone that they were close to).  Caitlyn was here, and I saw Karl (ed. note: her brother). With a little fix up that boy could turn out pretty fine!! Then I saw Larry (ed. note: their other brother) which sent me into hysterics. Lacey said that from the back he looked a little like Keith Dacosta! I was like - no I don't think so. Then I saw General Hospital, Twilight Zone, Misfits of Science and the awesomest - Miami Vice! Wellp, gots to go! 11:10

Today I found out that we needed our septic tank cleaned out. I was like - wonderful! But besides that, today is Thanksgiving! (no DUH!) NO SERIOUSLY THOUGH, those two things were probably the two most exciting that happened all day. I mean - it was SO freakin' boring! That is why I have nothing to say. 10:18

Wednesday, November 27, 1985

Today there was this dance at the Junior High. I have no idea why I went or anything, but it was kind of fun. We were all sitting around talking and not doing much.  (The "We" were: me, Nadine, Lacey, Dahlia, Kelsey, Keith Dacosta, Betsy Trask, Marvin Spelling, Katrina Mitchell, Lenny Erskine, Thom Spencer, and Sam). Sam looked so cool it wasn't even funny. But when he started talking about Beverly, that hurt - a little. Oh what the heck  - I guess I still like him - a little. 11:24

I had so much fun today. Everyone was trying to guess who I like and I wouldn't tell them! It's nobody really - I just said that it starts like this B _ _ _ M _ _ _ _ _, and that he's anywhere from freshman up. (It's not anyone - I made it up. The name is Bill Majors, that teacher). BUT I told them no one would ever guess and I was right! But I don't like him. I guess I like Beau, but he doesn't even know I'm alive! 9:31

Today is Sam's birthday. No one knows what Beverly got him for his birthday, but she stayed over his house last night so...???????
Anyway, Dan kept trying to guess who I like now and I wouldn't tell him. Then I told Dexter "thanks for calling me a bitch" and he said the only reason he did was because HE thought it was jive what *I* did to KELSEY! I was like ohmigod! Oh well, time to sleep. 10:09

Today me and Nadine went to the center. I bought Dad's Christmas present there. (Yes, I know Christmas is a month away, but I like to shop early.) It's this wooden pen holder and engraved on the wood part is a picture of a boat and seagulls - very Cape Coddish. It came with a gold pen and Mom says it was very expensive ($25). I say, money is no object. And ohmigosh, I didn't do my history homework yet! 9:36

Today was so horribly boring it's not even funny. First off, Lacey said she didn't do anything with Kelsey and because of that - how could Kelsey be taking her away from me? Well, I left after finding out she was going over there, and 10 minutes later when I called her (Lacey's) house - no one answered the phone. So she obviously went someplace with Kelsey. Am I correct? Ouch, my fingers hurt so I'm signing off now. 10:18

Today I am officially giving up on Sam. It's so hopeless it's not even funny. Also, I saw "Sixteen Candles". Boy - do I wish my life turned out that way! Well, anyway - I also saw "Miami Vice". Boy, am I disappointed! This guy shot at Tubbs with a MACHINE GUN and MISSED! I was like - ohmigod. That was like, so ill - totally. Oh, something else, Beverly is having a surprise birthday party for Sam. Guess who WASN'T invited. 11:10

Today was very dull. Except for the fact that I really cannot stand Kelsey anymore. Her attitude is point zero in my book. The girl's a fuckin' skitso! And that's all of the exciting things that happened today. In Girl Scouts though we got to make an advertisement that you would see in a magazine. I also saw Bob Craig today. Oh I saw Mr. Majors today. Just thinking of him puts knots in my stomach. Oh I know - it's usually only the boys who get crushes on teachers but this is different. I mean, he's so nice and so FINE. I never thought I'd see the day when I have a crush on a teacher but to think - everything is perfect on him. His clothes, his body, even his frigging CAR suits him perfectly.
